Happy Valentine’s Day! Nothing says romance like an intimate outing to the Baker household, which is probably why Resident Evil 7’s Banned Footage Vol. 2 DLC is available today for PlayStation 4 players. Right? The DLC costs £11.99 ($14.99, €14.99), but – naturally – it will also be freely available to those who purchased either the Deluxe Edition or Season Pass.
The new volume includes “Daughters”, which takes a closer look at the Baker family’s life before the tragic and gruesome events of Resident Evil 7 – something that fans of the game have been dying for since that now-iconic dinner table scene. Also part of the DLC is “21”, which gives players the grim opportunity to risk their life in one of Lucas Baker’s Saw-like games. Both these modes are supported in PSVR. “Jack’s 55th Birthday” is also included in the DLC – an additional mode that has players racing against to clock as they feed Jack an array of treats – all in celebration of this momentous occasion. “Jack’s 55th Birthday” is not playable in VR.
Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 will be available on all other platforms on 21 February 2017. Season Pass and Deluxe Edition owners will get the Banned Footage contents on release, and there’s still an additional story episode to come (details are not yet available).
Additionally, in spring 2017, all players will unlock the free “Not a Hero” content, which introduces players to a brand-new separate storyline – one that’s detached from Ethan’s story in the main game.
